As expected Sandra arrived with eight or nine people to our Five Fold Wednesday night meeting. The meeting was always intended to be a private one. Apart from the unique, anointed praise and worship, teachings and revelations, the meetings are where the Lord takes us deeper into Him and prepares us for what is to come. However we regularly hear of someone sick or lost and so interrupt our schedule to win souls and heal the sick by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
As we are "in training" (prayer, fasting, spending time with Him) for some massive outreaches, Paul said on several occasions that we must temporarily shut the meeting to visitors as there are billions of souls at stake and so we must not be distracted.
Sandra is a baby Christian, A compassionate, selfless young nurse in her twenties with a heart for the lost. My wife Maureen and I brought her to a Wednesday meeting about a year ago where she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. From then 'til now could be the subject of many testimonies but as I intend to witness to one recent event I'll summarize the first year like this.
Already Sandra has led her mother, father, sisters and cousins to Jesus. As well as friends, colleagues and complete strangers she met when she visited the sick, in her own time at local hospitals.
She organized transport for a group and brought them nearly 200 miles to a Five Fold meeting where they all repented and accepted Jesus. Not forgetting those too sick to travel she visited sick friends, bringing their handkerchiefs and personal possessions to the meeting for Paul to pray over. A raft of healings and salvations resulted.
In the past year she has also traveled the world working as a nurse to pay her way. USA, Australia, Croatia and elsewhere, telling strangers everywhere about Jesus. The thing is she has a serious illness herself yet she spends her time bringing others to be healed and saved.
Anyway when she heard Paul say that the meeting would temporarily be shut to visitors she pleaded to be allowed one more meeting that she could bring the sick to. Paul agreed.
Sandra scurried everywhere by bus and bicycle to tell the sick, the lost about Jesus. She has a sense of urgency and doesn't want even one soul to miss the most important opportunity of his/her life.
Ten people she brought. Ten repented and accepted Jesus. There were miracles and healings including one girl who miraculously had a growth on her neck disappear on the night. Praise the Lord. At the end of the night Sandra again pleaded. Just one more night to give people from far away a chance to repent and meet Jesus. Paul agreed. This brings us to where this testimony began, at a recent Wednesday night meeting.
None were as skeptical as the previous week's visitors as word had gotten out about the young lady who had a growth removed and healed amongst other miracles.(It's worth noting the initial skepticism soon disappeared when they witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit)
The mother of one of last week's girls drove approx. 150 miles on Irish roads to get to the meeting that commenced at 8 o'clock.
The presence of the Lord immersed our guests in a warm peace when both Martina and Nick played their own gentle, beautiful music in praise and worship as the rest of the team accompanied.
After all heard exactly what Jesus did for us, why it was essential to become born-again and where every one of us would be headed if not for HIM, together with a reading from Isaiah, ALL repented, ALL were slain.
There were healings, prophecies, and encouragements etc. but one stands out and I want to witness to this one in particular.
One young lady, a nurse called Noleen had never been to a prayer meeting. When Noleen arrived at the meeting we learned that she had been crying enroute, such was the pain she was in, the result of an accident five years ago that left her with a permanent limp due to one leg being about a half an inch shorter than the other.
Her back had a ruptured disc and such was the continuous pain, she had undergone a hospital operation to have an electronic device implanted in her back. This device sent out a signal that attempted to interrupt the pain signals from the damaged nerves to the brain but in effect the improvement had been limited.
After she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour Paul laid hands on her and the Holy Spirit began to heal her from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. After a few minutes her back was totally healed. All pain was gone. Noleen's smile went from ear to ear as she escaped the hell she had lived in for five years. Her face glowed with the heat and brilliance of the Holy Spirit to such a degree you would have thought she was just back from Lanzarote.
The funny thing when Noleen arrived one could tell she had been crying. Now she was elated but as I glanced around the room, everyone else was wiping tears from their eyes at the compassion, love and mercy of our Living God Jesus Christ. HE had spoken and said that HE was answering her prayers. HE had heard her.
As Noleen walked back to her seat Paul noticed something and called her back. Noleen was still limping. When asked by Paul she explained that she had felt the "heat" all over her body but not in her legs.
Paul began to pray again and asked her to sit on a seat in the middle of the room. On lifting her ankles up to the horizontal as she sat, the difference in the length of the legs was clearly obvious to everyone in the room.
I signaled to Sandra and Majella, (both baby Christians) to pay close attention. I knew they were about to see something that they had never seen before in their lives.
As Paul prayed in the Name of Jesus, a clearly audible gasp arose from the onlookers, especially Sandra and Majella. The short leg had slowly grown in two steps to perfectly equal the other.
Praise the Lord. Everyone was so happy for Noleen (and all the others who experienced the Power and Love of Jesus). We all sang to the Lord and a wonderful peace and joy filled Paul's home.
After the meeting the guests talked excitedly, non-stop about Jesus 'til nearly one in the morning. At that point I had to go as I had a very early start that morning.
