To whom it may concern.

God moved me to be involved with a number of revival meetings including a major outreach to the lost at Gill Stadium in Manchester, NH (Sept. 1988). The group of people God called, to work through in this revival outreach are called the Five Fold Ministry.

Matthew 7:20 says, “By their fruit you will recognise them”. The fruit of this group has been exciting to see.

At each meeting I attended, and each meeting I held, many came into a personal relationship with Jesus, (the groups primary goal).

There were physical healings, people who received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues, and prophetic words were ministered. In short, God worked through these vessels to meet the needs of the people who attended.

Just in my family alone, my mother and sister in law received major healing in their bodies.
My father, when he became born-again at one of their meetings, was a witness to how the power of God works through these people. He was literally held down for several minutes by two angels, so that the Lord could show him that HE is real and very much a part of our lives today.
My grandfather, uncle, and aunt received Jesus as their Savior, and my sister, brother, and my brother’s wife received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
This is just a small sample of the fruit that God has brought to New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts through the Five Fold Ministry.

The group has ministered in our church on several occasions. Each time they came God blessed many in the congregation through them. The last time they ministered in our church God exposed some hidden needs that some of the congregation had, through prophesy. Our congregation left that Sunday encouraged in their walk with God, and convicted to share the Gospel.

The general message God has given them is to preach salvation through Jesus. When they minister to congregations they generally preach from scripture, and what they say aligns with God’s Word. When they minister to my congregation I feel comfortable knowing that I don’t have to worry about this group speaking on things that are not found in God’s Word.

Dear Fellow Believer,

I am writing this letter on behalf of the Five Fold Ministry, who are also known as the “Irish Missionaries”. Since you may be considering them for ministry in your church, I want to encourage you from my own personal acquaintance with them and my own experience of having invited them to minister in my own church.

First, these brothers and sisters are true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. They preach Christ crucified, proclaiming Him as the only way to God, telling people that they must be ‘born again’.

They believe that the Bible is God’s Word and the ultimate authority for how we live and what we believe. Finally, they believe in the present day operation of the Holy Spirit and His gifts being essential for the building up of the Body of Christ.

When they ministered in our church here in Amherst, we were definitely built up in the Lord. Their music and worship is quite different from most American churches but it is extremely uplifting.

The message was a good exhortation on humility and serving, and afterwards we prayed for most of the church. Several people were healed of physical problems – for instance a woman just testified in church last Sunday that her bad knee is healed and she can jog for the first time in years without pain.

Others experienced a fresh anointing and power in the Holy Spirit, and many were encouraged by prophetic words that were spoken to them. We all sensed the presence of the Lord in a real way.

The missionaries also ministered on three colleges in the Amherst area where we have student outreaches. Many unbelievers went forward for prayer, mostly because God’s presence was undeniable. Several have made commitments to Jesus Christ, and we are following up on the rest, having gotten their names and addresses and having given them tracts and New Testaments.

I believe these brethren have heard God’s call to come to America to preach and have obeyed. They are not perfect (some of the stories I heard before I met them might make you think they were), but rather they are ordinary people like you who have devoted themselves to earnestly seeking the Lord in prayer and who preach Jesus Christ to the Lost as well as build up the church. I commend them to you as such.
